This post is based on conversations with clients. This is not cover all aspects. It also doesn’t deal with the moral implications of supporting the porn industry. So here goes:

  • Especially if you are a man sex with a real woman can become very uninteresting as she cannot measure up to the women in porn. Because, well, she is real, and women in porn are not. The industry has massive experience in dolling up a woman to look exactly like a man’s hottest fantasy.
  • You can get a very warped idea of what women like during sex. Porn is heavily focussed on blowjobs and rough penetration. If that’s how you get off, then there is bad news: about 75 percent of women cannot reach an orgasm through penetration. Most women are much more into kissing, touching and having their pussy licked. Long and passionately. Most porn movies show no cunnilingus and the kind of cunnilingus shown in porn is unlikely to make a woman come in real life, as everything in porn is done to make it look good on camera.
  • Porn is just the worst teacher when it comes to discovering what women enjoy most in the bedroom… This is not to say that women never fantasize of having those rough things happen to them, but that’s why it’s a fantasy, in real life women long for something entirely different.
  • You’re almost certain to become insecure about the size of your meaty joy stick, since the dicks you see in porn are like the biggest of the biggest. Only a fraction of men swings a dick fit for a horse between his legs. The women in porn react super enthusiastically when they see these monstercocks, and feel them bang their anus to the other side of the moon, but in reality few women are size queens. They will be fine with what you got, as long as you are passionate, tender, PRESENT, and can give her true intimacy, meaning that you have an actual connection while having sex with her and are not just using her as an aid to masturbate.
  • Women watching porn might be conditioning themselves to be treated just as violently as in most mainstream porn movies. Some women want this treatment and feel awful afterwards. If you have grown up with rough porn videos it can be hard to expect tenderness and attention. You can also get the idea that you have to undergo extremely rough stuff because – based on porn – that’s the only thing that can satisfy a man.
  • It will dampen your spirits on the dating scene, as it will decrease your motivation to go out there and find a real sexual partner. With a quick fix so readily available, why go through all the trouble, the potential of rejection, the hurt, the tension, the painful desires and the insecurities of trying to get it on with someone real?
  • It could start affecting your erections. Urologists are seeing young men coming in with erection problems they shouldn’t be having at their age. They can’t get such a strong erection as they should normally be getting with a woman. Porn isn’t entirely to blame for this as testosterone levels in men are going down in general, for many different reasons, but a big part of the problem is porn. Too much jerking off to a screen can get you ‘dead man’s grip’, meaning that you can’t come so easily from penetrating a vagina anymore, you need a very hard grip on your dick to be able to ejaculate. Hence the term ‘Dead man’s grip’.

To keep it very simple: Want a girlfriend or a better sex life? Quit porn for a year and see what happens.
